 started in 1972 as an effort to keep Cajun culture alive. Since then it has grown into a three day event that attracts people of many different nationalities from all over the world.  is the newest addition to Festivals Acadiens presenting traditional and fine artists and craftspeople from across Louisiana. The Louisiana Crafts Guild, a non-profit statewide organization created for the professional craftsperson, hosts the Louisiana Craft Fair.

 Louisiana Folk Roots, based in Lafayette, was founded in 1999. They have been on a mission to celebrate as much of Louisiana's rich cultural heritage as possible. They celebrate Louisiana's culture at the source and explore the cultural traditions that make our corner of the world such an amazing place.
