Language Lounge
Languages in Louisiana carry generations of knowledge, joy, and celebration. They hold cultural history and value, and are maintained by communities of language keepers. Language Lounge is a chance to engage and interact in Louisiana languages. Located in the A. Hays Town Building at the Hilliard Art Museum, the Language Lounge features a rotating group of language keepers who lead informal immersion activities, demonstrate their languages through conversation, and share information about language traditions and revitalization efforts.
